The Z-List

What is Z-List?
It's a blog meme that was created by Mack Collier of The Viral Garden on 12 December 2006.

Why is it called the “The Z List”?
Collier named it the Z list as a contrast against “A list bloggers”, a term used to categorize a list of ‘elite’ or well-known bloggers with very popular blogs. The Z List emphasizes the sharing of blogs that are not widely read or known in the blogosphere. I guess you could see it as a shout out for the underdogs and a call to experience blogs outside of any popularity or link-based ranking system.

How can I participate in the Z List Meme?

1. Create a new post on your blog.
2. Copy and Paste the entire list of blog links below
3. Add any blogs that you want to include near the top of the list. (This isn’t compulsory, so you can either add as many blogs as you want or none at all.)
4. Include the blog where you first got the list from, on the list in your post.
5. Do not include your own blog links on the list in your post.
6. Make sure that all links point to each blog’s homepage.
7. Publish the Post.

I came across the Z-List from doshdosh.com and I would like to thank Maki of Dosh Dosh Z-List for his helpful post. He has an excellent site with many great making money online topics. Hi Joel,

I think you need to create a post about this Zlist and you can add some blogs of your choice (blogs you want to promote) and also you need to list all the blogs on the Z-list, adding the blog from which you know this Z-list (my blog in this case)

Hey,

We've added your link to our sites link directory you can check it out under links. Please add me to your blogroll. We have also started a free advertising program for members of our site. This is another opportunity to get your referer id out there for free. We have banners in various spots on the site and have them rotating the members referer id's automatically. To every new member to the site we are giving 500 banner impressions and then the impressions will be based off of member activity. We are still finalizing all the details but the program is up and running.
